Although garment shopping is fun, it can also be time-consuming to find the right size and fit. It is especially true if you are on the lookout for a new pair of leggings. They are versatile pieces of clothing that can be worn comfortably throughout the year. Many apparel brands do not have standardised sizes and fits. Hence, different stores can have different sizes making it challenging to find a good pair for yourself. But once you learn some tips and tricks, choosing them will be completely easy. Read on to know how to choose the right pair.

.Begin with your normal pant size: Leggings might not fit in the same way your normal pants do. In case you purchase pants in a small or extra small size, you won’t require an extra-large pair. However, size formats vary depending upon the location you reside. After all, they are tight-fitting, so you must have a look at the international system of small, medium and large. Some brands utilise this system. Well, sizes are measured in centimetres by EU companies and inches by US organisations or brands. If you are baffled about your size, you can find an international size conversion chart. Finding the right pair is facilitated by many brands online due to the website’s size chart or size guide. Moreover, you can find the chart embedded directly in the product pages.

.You can measure yourself: Now that you have a clear idea about the size, your next step will be to take a few measurements. If you desire accurate results, it is recommended that you take the measurements in the morning before breakfast. First, you must measure your waist by encircling around the smallest part above or along with the belly button with a tape measure. Then, you must measure your hips by wrapping the tape measure around the fullest part. Make sure that you measure them around your buttocks and below your hip bones. Finally, you must measure your inseam, which is otherwise called length. You must run the tape along the inside of your thigh. You can also measure the circumference of your thighs since the size of your thighs can differ. You can wrap the tape and measure it around the top of your thighs. If you find out that both your thighs vary in measurements, you might want to consider purchasing a size bigger.

.You must seek a four-way stretch fabric: Stretch fabric is attainable as two-way stretch and four-way stretch. Two-way stretch fabrics can stretch in a single direction, whereas four-way stretch fabrics can stretch both lengthwise and crosswise. In a nutshell, two-way stretch fabrics are much tighter and restrictive than their four-way counterparts. When you begin shopping for a pair, you have to keep these things in mind. Four-way stretch clothing gives you more freedom of movement than two-way stretch clothing. Furthermore, four-way stretch fabrics can hold their original shape better than their two-way counterpart.

.You have to know what makes leggings the wrong size and fit: When it comes to finding the right clothing, you must understand what makes them the wrong size and fit. Leggings must be completely opaque. If you can see your skin while stretching, bending, and squatting, it can mean that they are too tight. You might want to go for a bigger size or find a pair made up of different materials and fabric. You can also check the crotch area for too much fabric pooling. It means that your pair is too loose. You must never pinch or pull them whether you are performing a yoga pose or walking in them.
