Clothes have a huge impact on every individual’s confidence. Wearing the right clothes that are not overly loose or tight is very important to convey a good impression. Speaking of clothes, it is important to choose the best to wear on the outside and the inside.

To buy the perfect looking bra and often sliding off one’s shoulders isn’t the idea of perfection one may desire for. Some can even cause back fat or can dig in where it shouldn’t. The lack of a proper bra size calculator is the reason for this. Moreover, wearing a perfectly fitting bra should feel like the person is not wearing one at all.

Wearing the right kind of bra can bring about a huge difference in one’s outfit and external looks itself. That is why different types of bras suit each kind of clothing and have a very specific purpose and function in mind. A t-shirt bra, fashion bra and strapless bra are some of these types.

However, all of these works only when one finds the perfect bra fit, which many have trouble with. There are methods in the online platforms which act as a bra size calculator. It involves the underbust and the overbust sizes. Let’s look at what they are.

1. Overbust: Also known as the top bust, it is the fullest area of the breast. They come in different sizes.

2. Underbust: It is the area around the body that is below the bust region. It is just below the swell of the overbust.

Follow the article and follow these easy steps to understand the bra size!

How to measure the underbust size?

To measure the underbust size, it is always good to get the help of another person to get the correct calculation. First, straight with both hands resting freely at the sides. Then measure the area that is directly below the bust region. The tape should be placed directly under the bust region in a straight manner. It should go all around the region tightly also.

Even though the measuring tape should be held tightly, it shouldn’t be very uncomfortable. While measuring the underbust, it is advised to do it while not wearing a bra. However, if one measures it while still wearing one, one can ideally not place it over the bra or the underwire.

The resulting measurement one gets the size of the underbust.

How to measure the overbust size

To measure the overbust, one has to measure the fullest region of the bust, which is unusually above the region of the nipple. Unlike measuring the underbust, the overbust is ideal to be measured while wearing a burn. The measuring tape should be held firmly and rest lightly on the body. The tape should be placed straight across the back region, and it should be parallel to the floor one is standing on.

The resulting measurement is the size of the overbust.

How to measure the cup size?

It is also to be noted that this is something known as the cup size. It is the difference between the bust line and the chest line of a person. They vary from A up to D sizes. Many people are not aware of this and get the wrong sizes which can result in discomfort. To measure the cup size, subtract the measurement of the underbust size from the measurement of the top bust size. The resulting answer is the cup size of a person.
