If you’re moving to Tennessee, you’re making a great decision! Tennessee is full of southern hospitality, delicious cuisine, and great entertainment. Once you’ve found that perfect piece of Knoxville real estate and get settled into your new home, take a day or weekend trip to one of these amazing attractions.

Dollywood

Dolly Parton is one of the most iconic figures in country music, if not music altogether. It’s only natural that she should have an amusement park to honor the national treasure that is Dolly Parton.

Dollywood is one of the best theme parks in the world, and offers the perfect combination of thrilling attractions and wholesome family fun. Take in the gorgeous view of the Great Smoky Mountains while enjoying delicious foods, exciting rides, and incredible entertainment such as live musical artists. Dollywood has something for everyone, young and old.

Graceland

Another iconic star, Elvis Presley is one of the most beloved figures in pop culture, and his Graceland mansion is one of the most popular tourist spots in Tennessee. Located in Memphis, Graceland is the perfect destination for anyone who loves music history and wants to visit and honor the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Check out the display of some of his most notable outfits, see his collection of his favorite cars, including a fabulous pink Cadillac, and pay your respects at his grave, located on the property.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Are you seeing a theme, yet? Music is an integral part of Tennessee history, and you can learn all about that history at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Founded in 1961, this is one of the largest museums in the world that’s mission is to preserve the history of American music. Here, you’ll take a trip through time and gain a better understanding of the evolution of country music.

Grand Ole Opry

The Opry is the most famous venue in all of Tennessee. InNashville, which is often referred to as the “Music City”, the Opry has put on a weekly show since it was founded, bringing some of the best artists in country music and beyond to the stage. These Saturday night performances are broadcast live on WSM-AM for locals, and Sirius XM’s channel 59 for all audiences worldwide to enjoy.

Titanic Museum

Tennessee isn’t ALL country music. In fact, one of the most interesting museums has nothing to do with music at all. The Titanic Museum is such a unique, fun attraction. The building itself is a replica of the ship, so even if you’re not able to visit right away, it’s just an awesome thing to experience while driving down the road. The inside of the museum is incredible as well, featuring a grand staircase reproduction that cost over $1 million to build. Many visitors may complain that it’s not as grandiose as they remember from the films, but remember, this is a replica of the actual ship, not the Hollywood adaptation!

Learn all about the history of this ship in a fun, immersive way. At the beginning of your tour, you’ll be given a card featuring one of the people who boarded the Titanic on that fateful day. Only at the end will you find out if your passenger was one of the few to make it out alive.
